A clinic operations platform built for the TechBlitz 2026 hackathon, where it took first prize. Patients, doctors and receptionists each get their own dashboard — and bookings arrive from the web, from WhatsApp, or from a phone call answered by an AI receptionist.
The problem
Small clinics run on phone calls and a paper diary. Every booking channel is a separate person, and every reschedule is a chance for two patients to land in the same slot.
What I built
- Phone-first auth. Six-digit OTP over WhatsApp, JWT sessions, role-based access control — no passwords to forget.
- One scheduling engine. Conflict detection, reschedule and cancel, shared by every channel so a voice booking obeys exactly the same rules as the web form.
- WhatsApp bot. Browse doctors, check slots, book — all inside a chat thread, with appointment notifications pushed back over WhatsApp.
- Voice receptionist. A Sarvam AI speech-to-speech pipeline: speech → intent and slot reasoning against live schedules → speech response, keeping it a conversation rather than a form.

What I learned
The channel is the product. Patients who would never install an app will happily book by talking, and reusing the scheduling engine made that channel cheap to add.
